Author Lydia Towsey and artist Scott Bridgwood have collaborated on a number of U.matter supported projects spanning the creative arts with a focus on inclusion and the mental health benefits of creativity.
Lydia Towsey is the arthor of two books, The Venus Papers and The English Disease (both published by Burning Eye Books) and both the Arts in Health Co-ordinator for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and Director of WORD!
She has an MA in Creative Writing, has toured her work nationally and been commissioned by the Royal Albert Hall, Guardian Newspaper and Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew – amongst many others. For more information see Lydia’s website, Secret Agent Artist.
Scott Bridgwood is an artist who graduated from Chelsea Art School and has painted and exhibited extensively throughout Italy and the UK. His work is shown in a number of galleries and represented in a number of private collections, including University of Leicester’s.
He has taught drawing and painting for 30 years, and life-drawing and portraiture at Attenborough Arts Centre for the last 15 years. For more information see Scott’s portfolio site.
